Cargo Seafood is born from the vision of our Executive Chef, Skev — a Cypriot restaurateur with decades of experience leading kitchens and creating seafood-focused concepts. Before launching Cargo Seafood in Liverpool, he ran several well-established restaurants in Cyprus, each known for their emphasis on quality, simplicity, and genuine hospitality.
Liverpool became his new home for its strong connection to the sea and its community’s appreciation for honest, well-crafted food. It offered the perfect setting to bring together his Cypriot heritage and his passion for cooking seafood, while embracing the character and energy of the city’s waterfront.
Cargo Seafood reflects this blend of influences: Mediterranean roots, Liverpool spirit, and a commitment to fresh, seasonal ingredients. His approach in the kitchen is shaped by the warmth of cooking for family — food that is honest, generous, and heartfelt.
